La XXVIII Edición del Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente de Elche se clausuró el pasado 29 de julio con la gala de entrega de premios de la que fue protagonista Jose Luís Garci. Les Yèmènites, de Cyril y Metodi Matut, fue elegido mejor corto documental. La recepción del galardón fue dedicada a la memoria de Theo Van Gogh, asesinado el pasado noviembre de 2004.
